2010 marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Foxbridge, the Memphis assisted living and memory care community, with a new Executive Director and the implementation of an innovative approach to enhancing quality of care and quality of life for its residents.
Mrs. J.J. Doughtie comes to the organization with an extensive background in senior services. Previously, she served as Development Director of Alzheimer’s Day Services of Memphis, Inc. She is an active member of the boards of the Professional Network on Aging and Creative Aging of the Mid-South.
“When United Methodist Homes (UMH) purchased Foxbridge, which was then called Fox Acres in 2005, J.J. was one of the first professionals I networked with in Memphis”, says Mike Myers, Director of Marketing for UMH. “I am thrilled that she has joined our team.”
Mrs. Doughtie will be instrumental in solidifying the operational approach known as Planetree in the Foxbridge community. UMH pioneered Planetree; a philosophy of care that focuses on the relationships that nurture all members of the community, for assisted living and long-term care communities nationally.
According to Robert L. Clapp, President and CEO of UMH, “One of the keys to our vision is creating a place where individuals’ preferences are honored and where they are members of a vital and vibrant community. To this end, we are always looking for ways to improve our services and to enhance the lives of those we serve. Foxbridge is fortunate to have a respected community leader to head this community into the next phase.”
Mrs. Doughtie continues, “What particularly appeals to me is the way that Planetree is able to tap into the passions and talents of all members to create a better place to live, work, and visit. Just as we strive daily to help our residents live the next chapter of their lives to the fullest, I am proud to be a part of this next chapter for Foxbridge.”
Foxbridge offers a variety of assisted living and memory care options tailored to individual needs. For more information, call 901-377-0101 or visit www.foxbridge.org.
